Prior Teaching Experience
At least 2 years of in-classroom or virtual teaching experience, in Math or English Language Arts.
Subject mastery
Demonstrate mastery of K-12 Math and English Language Arts subjects.
Fluent English Communication
Fluent in English (CEFR Level B2 or higher), with strong typing and communication skills.
Educational qualifications
Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Time flexibility
Available to work 4 to 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm Eastern Standard Time (U.S.).

Candidates may need to go through additional screening and selection processes to ensure they are the right fit for the role. We are committed to maintaining fair and transparent procedures for all applicants.
We provide monthly refresher training, self-paced learning resources, and daily support from Team Leaders to help you grow. These programs cover teaching pedagogy, U.S.-based curriculum, and effective tutoring strategies. On-the-job training and projects also provide opportunities for growth, allowing you to develop leadership and business skills. When you perform well, we work to offer strategic initiatives that further enhance your learning and career development.
Pay increases are tied to performance and our incentive structure, which rewards quality and impact over tenure. Total payouts are variable and largely within the control of freelancers, as earnings depend on the quality of sessions, volume of work, and engagement levels. We regularly review incentives to ensure tutors can earn more as they excel. While many tutors see increased pay within their first year, growth depends on meeting performance criteria and leveraging available opportunities.
Currently, we support only U.S.-based students. However, we continuously evaluate opportunities in other regions and will announce updates if this changes.
Our tutoring roles align with U.S. time zones, requiring night shifts in India. Occasionally, we post non-tutoring roles with daytime hours on our website. We encourage you to check regularly for opportunities that match your schedule.
There are no mandatory hour requirements, but we recommend being available for at least six hours daily to meet your income goals and session commitments effectively. The highest earners maximize their completed session hours by being consistently available from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. IST, Monday to Friday. Availability during these peak hours allows tutors to optimize their earnings and take full advantage of the demand.
Freelance tutors enjoy flexibility in scheduling, performance-based incentives, and comprehensive training programs. These benefits are designed to empower tutors to grow professionally, maximize earnings, and improve their effectiveness. Tutors are trained in research-backed teaching pedagogy for virtual high-impact tutoring, which is highly transferable to live classroom teaching or other instructional roles. Additionally, the freelance role offers a unique earning opportunity that is remote and flexible, providing income potential even when other roles may not be feasible due to personal or life limitations.
As per Indian tax laws, a 10% TDS is deducted if you provide PAN-Aadhaar proof before the payout. Without this proof, a 20% TDS deduction is applied, as required by regulations.
Session payouts are processed in the first week of the following month. We strive to ensure timely and accurate compensation for your hard work.
